Topaz, the country’s biggest fuels and convenience retailer has been recognised as one of the Best Large Workplaces in Europe for the first time.
Last night at an awards ceremony in Paris for the 25 top Best Large Workplaces in Europe, Topaz emerged in 14th position.
Best Workplaces sets out to recognise the finest employers and therefore the most satisfied workforces in Europe. With over 1,380 companies representing 1.5 million employees taking part, it is the largest employment survey of its type. There are separate categories for Multinationals and Small and Medium Enterprises.
Paul Candon, Marketing and Corporate Services Director at Topaz said everyone at the Company was delighted to be recognised in this way on a European stage.
“We are thrilled with the latest award. This is a huge achievement for a young Irish company like Topaz, especially when you look at the quality of the companies we were up against. The fact that we were the only dedicated fuels and convenience retailer on the list is also hugely satisfying. It’s a huge vote of confidence by our employees, who provide excellent service to our customers on a daily basis” Candon said.
“Our employees are our greatest resource and by working in partnership with them we are able to maintain the vibrancy and dynamism which will drive us forward to further success” Candon concluded.
Other Irish companies on the list included, EMC, Bright Horizons, Boots and Unicare. The latest success for Topaz follows on from the Company recording its highest ever position, 7th, in a list of Best Large Workplaces in Ireland earlier this year.
