It could be you! – Lucky Topaz customer scoops top lotto prize

Wednesday 21st April 2010: One lucky customer had a very happy Easter after stopping at the Topaz service station in Monaghan town over the bank holiday weekend  - they purchased an ‘All or Nothing’ ticket for the National Lottery’s Sunday night draw, and the numbers came up trumps, winning the unidentified customer the top prize of €500,000.

The sale of such a significant ticket has caused great excitement in the Topaz station in the town. Staff are delighted for the winner, though they don’t know who it is as the winners have decided to remain anonymous. According to station manager Ian Sexton, the station sees quite a bit of passing traffic. “The weekend was very busy with Bank Holiday traffic, and we know it was someone passing through as the winner is from Co. Meath. It’s fantastic news for whoever it is, and we’re all thrilled for them.”  This is the biggest win for any ticket bought at the station. “We’ve had a few decent prizes on lottery tickets, but nothing close to half a million euro.” explained Ian. He went on to remind customers, “So remember there's a lotto luck in Topaz Monaghan, don't forget to get your ticket for the next draw - it could be you!”

The National Lottery All or Nothing draw takes place every night. In order to win the top prize, players must either match all the numbers drawn, or none of them. This is only the fifth time someone has managed to match all 12 numbers.
