One Lucky person is €900,000 richer having scooped the prize for match 5 plus one star in the Euro millions draw last week. The winner has yet to claim their prize so anyone who bought a ticket at Statoil Service Station in Crosstown is being reminded to check their tickets! Wexford has enjoyed some fantastic success in the lotto in recent times with two large wins in the last two weeks.
The winning Euro millions ticket was an €8 quick pick and the lucky winner matched 5 numbers plus one star number to scoop the €900,000 prize (on Friday 24th August). This in not the first time this particular Statoil Station has been lucky. The station also sold a winning ticket in 1998 and just two years ago a €250,000 Lotto winning ticket was sold there also.
Speaking today Frank Gleeson Retail Director of Topaz Energy said “ a number of our Statoil Service Station have enjoyed massive success in recent times particular in the south Leinster region where we have had two jackpot wins in Wexford two in Wicklow one in Kilkenny. Wexford in particular has been extremely lucky in the past year and we’re now wondering if this is the luckiest service station in the Country?”
