The Lucky winning ticket in last nights Lotto draw was sold in Statoil Service Station Tuam Road, Co Galway. The €10million ticket, which was a €6 quick pick, was sold yesterday. The lucky winner is now the second biggest winner of the National Lottery after the Cunningham Family from Cork who won €16million earlier this year.

Speculation is mounting across Tuam as to who is the lucky ticket holder. The Tuam Statoil Service Station is one of 345 Statoil and Shell garages owned and operated by Topaz Energy Ltd. The site is very busy station with plenty of passing trade and commuters heading into and out of Galway particularly at rush hours. It is thought that the €6 ticket is unlikely to have been bought by a syndicate and will therefore make one lucky individual’s dreams come true!
Speaking about the win today the station manager Caroline Ward said –“We are absolutely delighted to have sold the winning ticket. Unfortunately I know it’s not me as I’ve already checked my ticket! but somebody who bought their ticket here is now €10 million richer. Whoever it is I hope that they come back to visit us here to fill up their new Rolls Royce or Ferrari!”
The win has created a great sense of excited and has caused an endless amount of speculation with Statoil staff urging all their customers to check their tickets as “it could be you”!
